Salah AlWazzan is a founding member of Tharawat, an organization that promotes knowledge-sharing and best practices among family-owned businesses in the Middle East and North Africa. Earlier in his career, he was Managing Director of Nafais Holding, a conglomerate of diversified industries with over three thousand employees in six countries, and was responsible for overseeing the company’s retail, real estate, trading, contracting, healthcare, and education divisions. Previously, Mr. AlWazzan spent fifteen years at the Arabian Motors Group, Kuwait’s sole dealer of the Ford, Mercury, and Lincoln automotive brands, where he led the group to be one of the premier distributors of Ford Motor Company Worldwide.

Mr. AlWazzan held board positions at Gulf University of Science and Technology and the Misr ElKheir and was the Chairman and Managing Director of New Mowasat Healthcare Company.

Mr. AlWazzan received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University and has pursued Executive Management Education at the International Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland. Mr. Salah AlWazzan is a Board Corporator Emerita of the Northeastern University in Boston.
